Not ridiculous at all. I think most women love to see a line of washing flapping in the breeze, especially when it contains reminders of your loved ones :-)
The only thing I DON'T like about putting out laundry is the stiff feeling of the clothes once they are dried. But looking at them and even hanging them up is pleasant. Thanks for the memory - I use a dryer these days.
